Danny Andrews injected more than a little sparkle into second-placed Chailey's innings as he hit a whopping 150.
And Marc Sellis chipped in with 49 as they posted a commanding 247-5 declared against Dormansland.
Dormansland's Steve Loney hit an unbeaten 82 as they managed just 121 in reply.
Bob Newcombe hit 103 for leaders Balcombe and Paul Elliott contributed 85 as they made 241-8 but Newchapel secured a draw with Darren Crichton (50), Richard Fairhurst (43) and Steve Boyes, with a quickfire 45 not out in 22 balls, leading the way.
Hurstpierpoint are in fourth place after a five-wicket win at Staplefield in which Andy Langworthy (73) and Dave Parsons (43) led the chase after the hosts had amassed 214-5 with Steve Barker hitting 63 and Cliff Bacon 45.
Crawley Down were put in by West Hoathly and took advantage to rattle up 182-7 with Graham Rushton (66) and Mick Cliffe (51) top scoring as Ashley Clinton recorded 4-29.
Dave Perez (77 not out) led the reply but West Hoathly were restricted to 170-9.
Lingfield's Peter Webster (83 not out) was the key contributor in a total of 191-7 but Colemans Hatch won by four wickets thanks largely to Kevin van Bergen (63 not out) and Chris Down (41).
Plumpton's Gary Plummer took a hat-trick in his four wicket haul but then had to shoot-off to work as Ashdown Forest were beaten by 18 runs. Kelvin Speirs (53) led the Plumpton scoring.
Horsted Keynes were put in by Preston Nomads III and Steve Walker's 44 helped them to 171-8. Richard Andrews (57) and Joe Gatting (42) then steered Nomads to a four wicket win.
