I'd like to say thank you to Tory Councillor Brian Oxley for getting a picture of Labour's latest election poster printed in The Argus (June 1).
Of course, he would condemn it as a personal attack on Hague and Thatcher, though try as I might, I cannot remember him denouncing the Tory "demon eyes" Blair poster from 1997.
Of course, the Tories never indulge in wild personal attacks, as several thoughtful letters on these pages (prophesying that Tony Blair will become a ruthless guitar-playing dictator controlled by European foreigners who are no better than the Nazis) have shown.
They stopped trying to get people to vote Conservative weeks ago. They want to persuade people it's not worth voting at all on Thursday and win on a low turnout with a handful of their die-hard activist swaying the result.
Prove them wrong by voting for schools and the NHS on June 7.
