Sri Lankan bowler Rees Mahammed took 4-1 to spark a spectacular Ansty batting collapse and help Ifield move into second place.
Ansty were cruising at 50-1 in pursuit of Ifield's 139 when all-rounder Mahammed worked his magic to leave the hosts reeling.
Skipper Graeme Dean said: "Rees joined us at the start of the season and he always has a smile on his face. Everyone likes him."
Defeat was particularly harsh on Simon Parsons. The Ansty bowler took 8-43 as he ripped through the Ifield batting order to see them go from 80-1 to 139 all out.
Ansty skipper Shaun Janman said: "We batted terribly. That's the second week we've been dismissed for a low score."
Eastergate went top after a good all-round performance was enough to see off Southwick.
Eastergate skipper Jim Berry put Southwick into bat and his men shared the wickets to restrict them to 164-9, Gary Thwaites and Mark Leach taking two apiece.
Then Duncan Wairland hit 67 as Eastergate reached the total with eight wickets to spare.
Berry said: "The bowlers have been consistent and we've batted down the order when required."
Clymping won by four wickets against Barns Green after they successfully chased 228-3. Nick Woodward had struck 112 and Ollie Lambkin 82 for Green but Benn Challen's 70 was the cornerstone of Clymping's fine chase.
Arundel beat East Preston after posting a total of 231-6. Steve Mullen scored 93 and Richard Diplock an unbeaten 72. East Preston had no answer and were skittled out for 102.
Findon were bowled out for 132 against Burgess Hill and that target was successfully reached with eight wickets in hand. Robert Hansford hit 71 and B. Edwards an unbeaten 52.
Goring defeated Henfield by 55 runs after scoring a healthy 215-4. Jeff Scarfield hit 89 and Sam Wilkinson 54. Kevin Thorn smashed 56 for Henfield but Graham Cornish's 5-36 saw them bowled out for 160.
Keymer and Hassocks drew with Petworth. After posting 200-3 with 66 from S. Faith and an unbeaten 71 from I. Poole, they failed to see off Petworth, who hung on at 149-6.
Crawley won by six wickets against Pagham. Pagham batted first and made 170 with Aamer Riaz taking 5-67. Fallah Uddin then smashed 71 in the successful Crawley chase.
