Teen bride Mandy Smith has spoken of her happiness after settling in Brighton with her model fiance and new baby.

The former wife of Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, who became his girlfriend at the age of 13, switched to Sussex for the peace and quiet.

The 30-year-old said she enjoyed walking along the seafront with her fiance Ian Mosby and their pet terriers while she was pregnant.

Max Harrison Mosby was born by Caesarean section at Chelsea and Westminster hospital on May 9.

Mandy said in an interview with Hello! magazine: "Ian took pictures of me giving birth and I've got my hair done, my lipstick done. But that's the way I've been ever since I was a little girl, always wanting to look my best."

Five days after Max arrived, the couple returned to their two bedroom flat in Sussex Square, Kemp Town.

But Mandy, who has had physical and mental health problems, suffered post-natal depression.

Although she felt an instant love for her baby she compared her depression to the worst case of pre-menstrual tension.

She said: "I found it very daunting at first but as I get to know Max he's really become part of our life. He has made our lives truly complete. I feel like I've known him forever."

Max's birth marked her reconciliation with her father, John, who visited her in hospital. It was the first time they had been together in four years.

Mandy and Mr Mosby, who is also 30, met just 18 months ago. They moved to Brighton last year and started trying for a baby but Mandy was shocked she fell pregnant so soon.

Mr Mosby said: "We went through a lot of emotional issues at the beginning of the pregnancy but we talked them through."

Mandy now feels contented and is considering launching her own business.

She said: "This is the first time I feel in complete control of my life - and that's a great feeling."

The couple plan to marry in the near future.
