Of course new homes must be of the highest quality, both in specification and design.
However, to argue as The Argus does (Voice Of The Argus, July 3) that too many homes are being built in Sussex is nonsense.
There is a desperate shortage of all types of housing, especially affordable homes, in the South-East and in Brighton and Hove.
Ask the young couple struggling to find a property under £100,000.
A brief look at The Argus property pages will illustrate the extent of the problem.
To grow and prosper, we need to ensure our young people and their future families can live in the region and in Brighton and Hove.
