PC Bob Greenall, based at Eastbourne, beat 64 officers from 37 forces to be crowned Britain's bravest bobby.
It was recognition for repeatedly braving choking smoke and intense heat to pull ten-month-old Antonia Carey to safety as fire raged in her bedroom at Milfoil Road, Eastbourne.
His efforts will be screened on the BBC1 show on July 18 during a Crimewatch special.
