There is plenty of poverty in Sussex but the job of Angus Fraser from Brighton puts it into perspective.
Most British people have roofs over their heads and enough to eat. As head of United Nations food convoys, Mr Fraser has been leading those bringing help to people who have faced disaster.
He has been to places such as Ethiopia, the Congo and Mozambique after natural disasters caused devastation.
Mr Fraser has faced considerable danger, almost dying from disease.
But he has a belief in his work that drives him and makes him feel it is worthwhile.
Many of us don't give a second thought to victims of natural disasters except when we see pictures of them on the TV news.
People such as Angus see them all the time. We should be thankful he and others are prepared to do such a difficult job.
