A pensioner with mental health problems fell to her death from a car park after walking out of a hospital ward, an inquest heard.
Dorothy Jones, 67, of Falmer Avenue, Goring, fell from the car park in Augusta Place, next to the bowling alley in Worthing, on Sunday April 15.
She was identified by the hospital wristband which was still attached to her arm after she got dressed and walked off the ward at Worthing Hospital.
Mrs Jones' daughter Lynda Corona, of Rogate Close, Worthing, told the inquest her mother had been an independent, confident woman.
But in January Mrs Jones changed completely. Mrs Corona said: "She seemed to be worried about a number of issues. She was concerned about my father's health but there were also things that seemed insignificant, like things which needed replacing in the house."
West Sussex Coroner Roger Stone said it was impossible to say whether Mrs Jones intended to take her own life and recorded an open verdict.
