Maybe men in white vans don't deserve their bad Press.
On July 24, I was travelling to Stansted with my two children when I had to come off the A23 because my car was making a terrible racket.
Two men in a white van stopped to see if I was okay, diagnosed the problem - a lost spark plug - and waited while I called the AA.
My membership had lapsed so they drove to Crawley and within an hour were back, had fitted a new spark plug and we were on our way.
We so appreciate the kindness shown by these two angels in their white van. Thank you again.
