An estimated 12,000 people turned out to watch Saturday's carnival parade through Uckfield.
The carnival started on Friday with a free fireworks display at Holy Cross School field.
On Saturday the fun continued with a children's fancy dress parade and plenty of colourful costumes and music.
Music was provided by local bands and the Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment Military Band.
Carol Watts, secretary of Uckfield Carnival Society, said: "It was brilliant, even better than last year. There was such a good atmosphere."
She added: "It takes 365 days to organise the carnival and we will be starting on next year's event next week."
