A community web site is helping to reunite friends who have not seen each other for years.

The Lancing and Sompting site is proving popular not only with residents but also people who have moved away.

Webmaster Tim Clarke said it was receiving regular visitors from around the world who liked to know what was happening in their old home towns.

He said the BN15 site had already helped long-lost friends meet up.

There was a forum page for people to leave messages and a link to the popular www.friendsreunited.co.uk site, which aims to bring old school friends together.

Residents of Sompting and Lancing are encouraged to log on to see if they recognise any names.
