Police swooped on two Brighton shops today and seized more than 300 crates of wine, beer and spirits.
Eight officers from Brighton CID raided St James's Convenience Store and St Mina News, St James's Street, Brighton, just after 11am.
They took more than an hour to clear the shops of alcohol and used trolleys to load it into vans and take it away.
Both shops were closed while investigations went on.
More than 200 cases of alcohol were taken from St James's Convenience Store and more than 100 from St Mina News.
The owners of the shops were accused of breaking the Licensing Act 1964 by selling alcohol without a licence.
