Hundreds of people turned up to buy Holiday On Ice tickets and raise money for The Argus Appeal.
They queued outside the Brighton Centre to get seats for the company's new production, Colours Of Dance.
Readers who collected tokens from The Argus were able to buy cut-price tickets for the show, saving up to £17.
A percentage of all the first-night sales from the production are being donated to the appeal, which provides help to the needy across Sussex.
Elsa Gillio, trustee and co-ordinator for the appeal, said: "When it comes to promotions, it doesn't get better than this.
"Argus readers have an exclusive opportunity to get Holiday On Ice tickets for only £5, £2 of which Holiday On Ice then donates to The Argus Appeal.
"Our readers win and so does the appeal, which supports many important causes throughout the year and throughout Sussex. I'd like to thank everyone for taking part."
