In the article "Name and shame plans attacked" (August 29), Ken Bodfish showed the arrogance for which he is famed.
NCP traffic wardens work for NCP, have more rights than local residents and have no brief other than to make money for their masters.
The British Association of Motorists is going to give people the democratic right to protest directly to private company wardens at their homes.
And yes, it is going to take the council to the European courts over basic legal rights for motorists.
We want two things. We want residents to have a £22 permit to park on any of an increased number of legitimate parking spaces and non-profit-oriented wardens to keep major roads clear to keep traffic flowing and to leave local residents alone.
