Two teenage robbers escaped with about £250 in cash after holding up a West Sussex off licence.

Two men aged 18 or 19 burst into Thresher in The Square, Angmering, at about 9.30pm yesterday and threatened a member of staff.

The staff member was this morning said to be in shock.

The pair escaped in the direction of Worthing Road while staff called the police.

Both were 5ft 6in to 5ft 9in tall and wore dark clothing and baseball caps. One was stockily built.

The shop was cordoned off as scenes of crime officers searched for evidence.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
