Albion boss Micky Adams has revealed the rallying cry which has turned the Seagulls into habitual Withdean winners.

He tells his players before kick-off: 'Forget Falmer, this is our home'.

Albion go into tomorrow's sell-out against Queens Park Rangers on the back of ten straight victories at Withdean.

"I remind everybody before every game that it's our patch," Adams said. "We don't lay down and die for anybody.

"We don't get sucked into the controversy about a new stadium, because that doesn't involve us. That is for the money men and directors.

"Withdean is our home and we will give anybody a game on it. We have lost matches, but not without a fight."

Southend were the last side to beat Albion at Withdean, on New Year's Day, and York the last to take a point at the end of February.

You have to go all the way back to the middle of January last year for Albion's last Saturday defeat at the converted athletics stadium, 1-0 against Leyton Orient.

The home record since then reads played 37, won 27, drawn 7, lost 3, awesome statistics for both Rangers and next Tuesday's visitors Southampton to chew over.

Relegated Rangers have not registered a goal for over six hours, but Adams and assistant Bob Booker were impressed when they watched their 0-0 draw against the odds at home to Bristol City.

"They played for 40 minutes with ten men and were unlucky not to win in the second half," Adams said. "They are very much like Ian Holloway (manager) was as a player, fiercely competitive, so I am expecting a difficult game."

Adams, mindful of two more matches coming up quickly against Southampton and at Wrexham next Friday, has hinted at tinkering with the team.

That may mean returning to 4-4-2 and resting veteran skipper Paul Rogers, who was replaced by Gary Hart towards the end of last Friday's first defeat of the season at Northampton.
