A teenager stabbed in the stomach and head was today seriously ill after undergoing emergency surgery.
The 17-year-old was attacked in Hollington Road, Hastings, at 11.30pm yesterday.
He was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings where he had surgery.
Police have arrested two people in connection with the incident.
Dr David Janes, of the Sussex and Surrey Immediate Medical Care Scheme (Simcas), was called to the scene.
He said: "We resuscitated him on the scene and he was taken to the Conquest, where a trauma team was requested to standby for him."
