The case against a man accused of unlawfully digging up the remains of a World War Two pilot and his aircraft was adjourned today.
Andrew Roy Saunders, 46, faces eight charges relating to the crash site at Winchelsea, near Rye.
Among the charges is that he excavated the remains of 21-year-old pilot Ted Kosh and his Hawker Tempest fighter plane without a licence.
Flying Officer George Edward Kosh, known as Ted, was 21 when his plane crashed on farmland near Winchelsea, East Sussex, as he attempted to shoot down a V1 flying bomb in July 1944.
Saunders, of St Marys Road, Hastings, did not appear at today's brief hearing at Hastings.
The case was adjourned until September 25, when it is scheduled for commital to Crown Court.
