A young woman and her fiance were assaulted in an unprovoked attack.
Kat Richardson, 23, was left with a broken finger and her boyfriend, Aaron Woodland, 21, suffered bruising after being attacked by strangers outside her home in Denton Drive, Brighton.
Miss Richardson said: "There was a man and woman in a Ford Sierra in the drive with young children in the back.
"He leaned out the window and asked if I lived there.
I said I was in a hurry and got into Aaron's car but the man got out and kicked it."
Mr Woodland was then assaulted and Miss Richardson was attacked by the man's partner despite remaining inside the car.
The couple managed to drive away but were chased by the attackers' Ford Sierra for a short distance.
