I have watched the news over the past days with horror. Now I am left feeling numb and useless. Those poor people who were trapped and lost their lives. My thoughts and, I am sure, the thoughts of the people of this city are with them and their families.
We have a peace statue in Brighton and Hove. We could use this as a place to leave tributes. I will be leaving flowers there as my own small mark of respect for the people of New York City and to express my heartfelt sympathy to the families of those who have tragically lost their lives.
Tuesday, September 11, will be etched on my memory as one of the saddest days of my life.
