Horsham YMCA manager John Suter believes his side may have missed their chance to progress in this season's FA Cup.

Horsham were held to a 0-0 draw by Ryman League division one outfit Thame United at Gorings Mead in front of the Sky television cameras.

Sky are following the competition from the early stages, along with The Guardian. Both were on hand to cover the match but there was no giantkilling act.

Suter, whose side will entertain Havant and Waterlooville if they get through, said: "Possibly you only get once chance in this competition and we had a couple to win the game and we didn't take them.

"They both fell to Glen Newall and he had one cleared off the line and the other was kept out by a good save.

"A betting man may say our chance has gone."

He added: "However, we have all given our interviews and had our 15 minutes of fame so it has been a good day for the club."

Ellis Hooper and keeper Jason Dunbrill both had fine games for YMCA, who go to Thame on Tuesday for the replay.

Maybe Sky should have directed their cameras towards the Sportsfield where Littlehampton drew 3-3 with Jewson Wessex League side Gosport Borough in a game with a flurry of goals just before the break.

The Marigolds were twice punished for conceding free-kicks but James Thornton and an own goal following a Derek Chester effort brought them level. Gosport retook the lead when Geoff Ward pushed over a forward and they scored from the spot-kick.

With seconds remaining to half-time, Littlehampton went straight down the other end and a melee saw Chester again restore parity.

Littlehampton boss Andy Taylor said: "We created the more chances in the second half but could not put them away. The game is still there to be won but it is going to more difficult going to them in midweek but we did the same against Hythe last season and won the replay away from home."

Hassocks' Chris Hewitt lashed in a 35-yarder in the closing minutes of their home clash with a big, strong Ash United side from the Combined Counties premier division. Hewitt's goal saved his keeper Joel Harding's blushes after he had let Ash open the scoring with a shot that crept through his legs on 80 minutes.

Hassocks boss Dave John said: "It was a hell of a goal and in the final few minutes they tired and they made a couple of last-ditch tackles where on other days we would have got through and tucked the chance away."

Peacehaven lost 1-0 away at Carshalton. Wade Falana teed up Denver McKenzie for the 56th-minute winner.
