Prayers have been said for a former cathedral chorister from Sussex who is missing, feared dead, in the wake of the New York terrorist outrage.
The parents of merchant banker Robert Eaton, 37, attended a service at their local church in Ditchling yesterday and prayed for their son and the thousands of others missing in the tragedy.
Robert's parents, Doug and Laura Eaton, joined other villagers in the hope their son may still be found alive.
Mr Eaton said: "There is nothing we can do. We are simply sitting and waiting.
"We are well known in Ditchling. We went to church yesterday and everyone was very supportive and helpful."
The communion service was led by Father Jason Clarke. He said: "Everyone was able to offer them support and comfort, love and prayers during this terrible situation they are going through.
"I will be seeing his parents this week to discuss their needs and wishes for the future."
Albion fan Robert was believed to have been working on the 105th floor of the first World Trade Centre tower to be struck.
