Two men who frightened young teenagers after a pop concert in a park were bound over to keep the peace by magistrates.
Joe Chapman, 18, of Redlands Lane, Robertsbridge, and Benjamin Dighton, 24, of Bembrooke Road, Hastings, shouted abuse at the youngsters after Party in the Park at Preston Park, Brighton, in June.
Catherine Hardy, prosecuting, told Brighton magistrates yesterday that the incident started as the youngsters, aged between 13 and 15, were cooling off in the graveyard.
They were confronted by a gang of older people, including the two men, who accused them of sitting on a relative's grave.
She said: "They felt intimidated and frightened. The girls were crying. They tried to move away but the two defendants followed them, shouting abuse."
Madeline Priestley, defending, said both men had been drinking.
Chapman, a trainee bricklayer, was bound over in the sum of £50 for 12 months. Dighton, a labourer, was bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months.
They were told to refrain from drunken and abusive behaviour. Affray charges were withdrawn.
