A man accused of a drug-related murder will stand trial at Lewes Crown Court.
Mark Dyson, 34, will appear in court on October 3.
Dyson, of Laycock Close, West Wittering, near Chichester, is charged with the murder of Derek Finch, 38, whose naked body was found on a bed in Carleton Road, Chichester, on August 20.
A postmortem showed he died from a heroin overdose.
Magistrates at Chichester decided a burglary charge should also be heard at the crown court.
Dyson elected for trial by jury on a charge of possessing heroin, after being arrested in Bognor on September 14.
There was no application for bail.
