East Brighton Golf Club occupies one of the most beautiful sites in the city, high on the Downs overlooking the sea.
But a store of materials close to a public footpath is growing year by year and is an eyesore.
The pile of sand and other materials is used by the golf club whenever it wishes to replenish bunkers or make other repairs to the course.
Players cannot see the store but walkers and neighbours most definitely can and they do not like it.
Other golf courses on similar sites manage either without such a big store or are able to tuck it away out of everyone's view.
The club is only too insistent on a proper dress code for its players. It should pay the same attention to the appearance of this tatty store.
