Jack Pearce is backing Bognor to pass the mental test of being high-flyers.
Rocks retained top spot in Ryman League division one with a 4-3 win at Windsor in midweek and will retain the leadership whatever happens tomorrow.
It is a welcome return to the summit after two seasons of struggle and boss Pearce is confident his men will avoid the sort of collapse they suffered when they last hit such dizzy heights three seasons ago.
Pearce, whose side host an Albion XI in a friendly tomorrow, said: "We are scoring a lot of goals and we have a good team spirit.
"I know things can change quickly, especially in this division where the teams are evenly matched.
"But I believe we are stronger mentally now. The test will come when sides at the bottom try and get a feather in their cap against us.
"They will come to us, see our magnificent pitch and our league position and think 'this will make our season if we win here'."
Rocks have been their own worst enemies at times with their devotion to a patient passing game but, when everything clicks, they are arguably the best non-league team to watch in Sussex.
The addition of Simon Funnell and Richard Hudson has given the attack a new cutting edge.
Pearce added: "My team talks and the way I think the game should be played have never changed."
Worthing boss Sammy Donnelly wants showdown talks with his board over the on-going saga of cost-cutting measures.
Donnelly has released Lee Weston on loan, Lee Cox and Damian Webber while other players have taken pay cuts.
The Rebels boss says he is being asked to make further savings and said: "I am totally frustrated. I am going to ask questions of people who run the club about their ambitions.
"There has been a total lack of support from the board. We have got two teams here, one of them trying to do well on the pitch and another using this as a social club."
Chairman Beau Reynolds denied allegations of division within the boardroom but admitted his manager had to make further savings.
Danny Davis faces a three month lay-off with a broken collarbone but Darren Baxter should return tomorrow.
