A missing boy who is obsessed with trains and planes has been safe and well in Manchester.

Alfie Richardson was found last night at a railway station in the city and was due to return to his foster home in Hove today.

Alfie loves travelling and when he has gone missing before, police have put out alerts at airports and railway stations across Britain.

In the past he has managed to board an aircraft at Gatwick and has been found before at Piccadilly station in Manchester.

The 12-year-old went missing from Hove at 11.45am on Saturday.

He said he was going to visit his mother in Brighton but never arrived, and police suspected he had set off on another of his adventures.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Although he has always been found safe and well in the past we are always concerned for his safety because of his young age."
