Albion are poised to solve their training ground fiasco by switching to a fourth site in the space of three months.
The club hopes to clinch a deal today for a new venue in north Sussex. Chief executive Martin Perry said: "We have been putting in place another arrangement which we hope will come to fruition for the next six to eight weeks."
The Argus revealed in yesterday's later edition that the players were forced to train in Preston Park.
The club have a temporary deal until the end of this week for pitches at Brighton University's Falmer site, but the wet weather put them out of action.
The Seagulls' first choice training pitches, at the University of Sussex, have not been used by the club since the start of July because they are in an unfit state.
Perry said: "It's a very unfortunate situation. None of us like it. The pitches at Sussex are not in a fit state and the only way to bring them into use is to stay off them."
