The buses were very considerate the whole day on September 22 and 24 by either switching off their engines or not parking for very long.
I wish to personally thank these bus drivers for their consideration.
To those who are not bothering, I'd say it is a pity because they would have an opportunity to sample Arundel's rural life, stretch their legs, unwind and relax for a short while.
Not so long ago, there were only two buses coming along this road.
After the introduction at the beginning of last summer of bus No 55, which used to be the No 59, a bus goes down this road every ten to 15 minutes, on top of the school buses, delivery vans, private cars and a free Sainsbury's bus twice a week.
It's busier here than in the town centre. Most of the time, they are empty because there is not the population here to support a never-ending stream of buses.
It is ironic there is a no-smoking policy on these buses, yet Stagecoach feels it is quite all right for its buses to sit outside residential homes and fill their rooms with carbon monoxide and any other fumes diesel engines emit.
We can't get away from it and we have to breathe sometime. I've tried suggesting where they could park their buses to make up the time and where it would not interfere with residential home life but they obviously do not want to listen.
Don't take my word for it, come and see for yourself.
