There was little to separate Hastings Town and Dorchester in Friday's top of the table Dr Martens eastern division clash.
Neither side could find a goal.
Hastings started the brighter but created few chances while Matt Groves and former AFC Bournemouth winger Justin Keeler were looking dangerous up front for Dorchester.
Hastings keeper Dave King was equal to anything the skilful forwards could create.
Paul Jones worked hard for Hastings in the second half but the final ball was either too late or too ambitious.
Dorchester seemed to be hungrier for the points and it took a goalline clearance from Tony Burt to save Hastings' blushes in the closing minutes.
Burgess Hill continue to set the pace in the Sussex County League and picked up a 4-0 victory at Hailsham Town with two goals in either half.
It was Gary Croydon side's fifth clean sheet in succession and they were never in trouble as Lee Isaac, Richard Carter, Ashley Carr and Tom Levittfound the net.
Striker Carr's goal was the highlight of the night as he avoided a number of tackles before a skilful finish.
Sidley United, last season's double winners, found Saltdean difficult opponents at Gullivers and were held to a 1-1 draw by the strugglers.
Peter Baker's rich vein of form in front of goal continued as he saved a point with a 90th minute strike after Sam Assefi was on target for the Tigers.
Three Bridges, however, had a fine 3-1 win over visiting Pagham to close on the Hillians. Trailing 1-0 at half time, goals by Pat Massaro (two) and Jamie Liddell steered Bridges to victory.
