Whatever the outcome of next Saturday's all-Sussex FA Cup tie between Lewes and Hassocks, no one will be able to accuse Rooks' boss Jimmy Quinn of not doing his homework.
He's been doing research on their third qualifying round opponents.
Quinn has already watched Dave John's men twice this season and is planning a third spying mission next week.
Lewes officials may have been quietly delighted at a home draw against the County League's sole survivors once they had seen off indisciplined Gosport Borough in their midweek replay.
They have already banked £15,000 from the cup run and next week's winners will be another £10,000 better off as well as being one win away from a place in the first round proper. But Quinn is well aware of the test Dave John's battlers will provide.
He said: "Compared with who we might have got, the draw could have been a lot harder.
"But I've seen Hassocks twice already and they will be hard to beat, there's no doubt about that.
"They beat Bromley, who play in a higher division than us, last week and their cup results generally have been good. Dave has done a great job there and it's not going to be easy."
Rooks came through a tricky replay test in Hampshire on Tuesday thanks to two goals from Dominic Shepherd.
Gosport finished the game with eight men and Quinn was just happy to head home with his squad, already badly affected by injury and unavailability, still in one piece.
"They were a bit indisciplined, their game plan seemed to be to try and get Justin Harris sent off," said Quinn. "To be honest we should have beaten them at home but we didn't take our chances, if anything the replay was even more one-sided."
Quinn had three 17-year-olds on the bench on Tuesday, but his squad was back to something approaching full strength at Arlesey this afternoon when Rooks put their unbeaten Division Two record on the line.
Liam O'Brien and Graham Mackay, who were both cup-tied, was returning while Paul Stokes was back after a three-match suspension. Lewes have also completed the signing of midfielder Ross Venables from St Leonards, but Harris started a three-match ban today and will miss next week's FA Cup tie.
