Police investigating the shooting of a Crawley man have arrested three men following a six-month operation.
Father-of-four Stuart Fooks, 33, of Drake Road, Tilgate, was shot and then delivered to Crawley Hospital on the evening of March 25.
A team of 20 detectives were drafted in to the investigation, codenamed Operation Quota.
The car in which Mr Fooks was taken to the hospital, a blue D-reg Ford Fiesta, was found a few hours later in Langley Green, Crawley.
Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Moore, who led the operation, said two of the men arrested, aged 28 and 31, were from Crawley.
A third is a 19-year-old from east London.
All have been released on police bail to return in January.
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact Crawley CID on 0845 6070999.
