Nature TV presenter Chris Packham reopened a wildfowl centre after flooding had made it a little too wet for comfort.
Anyone visiting the centre only a few months ago would have been ankle-deep in water and the only diner in the restaurant would have been a kingfisher.
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre at Arundel has been out of action since last November's floods. It has taken almost a year for workers to dry out the swamp left behind.
Chris, who presents ITV's Wildwatch, celebrated the reopening of the centre with staff yesterday.
James Sharpe, centre operations manager, said: "Being submerged took its toll on the building but we have repaired all the damage and it looks better than ever.
"The events of the past year have given us the opportunity to take a fresh approach to the way we present the magic of wetlands to our visitors, as well as making the facilities more flood friendly."
