Since watching - from TV's illusion of comfort - missiles launched at high altitude under cover of darkness accompanied by authoritative voices telling me - with an illusion of sanity - that civilians are not targeted, only terrorists, I have been haunted by the words of someone born in the Middle East whose birthday I hope to be celebrating with others: "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
