There has been an enormous and positive reaction to the campaign by The Argus to keep the breast cancer services in Brighton and Hove.
But more people than ever are needed to sign our petition in the next few days.
This is because on Friday the final decision will be made about whether to move the unit to Haywards Health.
No one is saying the unit has to stay at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, where conditions are far from ideal.
But women in Brighton and Hove do not want to go to Haywards Heath, which is an awkward journey by car and tedious by public transport.
There are other sites owned both by Brighton Health Care NHS Trust and South Downs Health within the city boundary.
They should be looked at closely to see if they can house a modern and accessible breast cancer treatment service.
