I support retaining cancer care at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
For too long, cancer prevention and care has not been given either the funding or priority it patently requires.
With one in three people experiencing some type of cancer during their lives, there is a justified claim treatment should be as accessible as possible.
The proposed transfer of these services to the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, is illogical, ludicrous and extremely inconvenient.
It will do nothing to enhance the peace of mind women who require treatment should expect.
The journey from Brighton to Haywards Heath is arduous, difficult and expensive.
It would be impossible for the hospital car service to cope with the demand from Brighton and Hove council taxpayers.
This proposed transfer of services is illogical, short-sighted, inhuman and insensitive. I appeal of behalf of women who are suffering breast cancer to think again concerning this proposal.
