Opponents of the Brighton station redevelopment are complaining that there has been no consultation by the developers on new plans for the controversial site.
Yet this must have been one of the most talked about schemes in recent times for the city centre. There have been endless discussion about the project which includes hotels, hundreds of homes, a supermarket and offices that will produce jobs.
The New England Consortium has the whole application on its web site and has distributed a newsletter in the area explaining its scheme.
Objectors are holding a meeting which will doubtless oppose the scheme and those views will be taken into account by the planning committee. But there are many who regard the scheme as a productive way of regenerating a site which has been largely idle since the days of steam.
The main sticking point is the Sainsbury's store which will undoubtedly generate some traffic in a development which otherwise is mainly pedestrian friendly.
Like it or hate it, the store and the rest of the multi-million pound development are hardly strangers to anyone with a scintilla of interest in the city centre.
