I thank The Argus for the campaign to save the Nigel Porter Unit.

After being treated there for breast cancer six years ago, I feel very strongly about the threatened move.

I found it second to none, both in the treatment given (all fully explained from the outset) and in the kindness and consideration from all members of staff.

Nothing was too much trouble and their attitude made all the difference in allaying much of the fear the word cancer can arouse.

It will be a sin if this unit is taken away from Brighton. Good luck with the campaign and all the support being raised.
