Haywards Heath are pitching Stuart Charnely into the firing line as they bid to regain their defensive steel.

The former Wasps and Saracens academy player gets his first start in London One as Heath travel to Norwich tomorrow from 3pm.

Charnely, who has also won county youth honours, takes the fullback shirt with Andy Cook continuing at outside half.

Heath have lost their last two away games, conceding 72 points in the process, and face a stern test in Norfolk against opponents unbeaten in the league.

Skipper Henry Goodburn said: "We are still scoring plenty of points but it will come down to how we defend.

"We could have won our last two games but no one ever said we were going to blast our way through this league."

Flanker Dave Davies has failed to recover from a knee problem in time to join Three South East leaders Worthing at home to Tonbridge Juddian.

Davis struggled in a midweek run out for UC Chichester so Grant Gatford gets a first start of the season in the back row while Paul Cox switches to No. 8.
