Former Albion manager Micky Adams has received hate mail from fans angered by his move to Leicester as Dave Bassett's No. 2.
Unsavoury letters have been delivered to him at Filbert Street, even though he steered the Seagulls to the Third Division title last season and left them joint top on points in Division Two.
"I am receiving a bit of hate mail at the moment," Adams revealed.
"Some letters have been very positive and thanked me for what I have done, but some have not been very nice at all.
"I am disappointed with that. I don't think I deserve it. The club won their first championship for 36 years last season.
"I left them on top of the Second Division with assets on the pitch which they've not had for a long time. I don't believe people can be so petty as not to wish me well."
Adams' first home game since his appointment at Leicester is against Liverpool tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Leicester midfielder Robbie Savage is delighted by Peter Taylor's quickfire return to football managing Brighton.
He said: "I am absolutely delighted that he has got another job and we all wish him the best."
