I recently travelled from Lewes to Perth with my husband, using Connex South East and GNER.
I would like to congratulate both railway companies for making my journey, as a wheelchair user, so comfortable and trouble-free.
One simple telephone call to York HQ was all that was needed, giving details of our journey, to set up the process of being met at each end and at Victoria and King's Cross in both directions.
All welcoming staff could not have been more helpful, which made what could have been a difficult journey into a sheer delight.
Nothing was too much trouble - helping with luggage, even hailing taxis.
To cap it all, we were telephoned by assisted travel two days after returning home to check that all pre-arranged plans had been fulfilled.
Congratulations and many thanks to all concerned. I shall not hesitate to use rail services in the future.
