When referring to local government reorganisation, why does The Argus insist on calling it the "improved" committee system when what is really meant is the "alternative" committee system?

Experience in Adur District Council shows it's no improvement.

This council has descended into chaos, with a rudderless Conservative-Independent alliance providing no political leadership.

Its failed attempt to gag free speech through misuse of the standards committee brought the council into disrepute and showed how bereft of ideas it is.

Brighton and Hove beware. In looking to the alternative structure for your salvation you may be jumping out of the political frying pan into the fire.
