I was truly appalled at Saturday's Voice Of The Argus. (October 20).
This was not something I expected from a professional newspaper.
It was rude and patronising, not only to those who ran the No campaign but also to the wider public.
As someone who was not involved with the No campaign, I can say it was this sort of patronising attitude that encouraged me to vote No.
The unjustified assertion that voting for a directly-elected mayor was the only right thing to do was all too prominent.
Perhaps those charged with "not knowing how to run a chip shop" might have had more experience were Brighton and Hove City Council run in a more inclusive way and not by a small cabal at the centre, all too often out of touch with the people.
I hope the bitter and twisted person who wrote the leader article is given some time off before he sullies The Argus's good name.
