Eastbourne and Bognor are on course for a tremendous promotion battle.
The Sussex rivals drew 15-15 at Park Avenue on Saturday to maintain their challenge for honours in London Four South East.
Now they will be hoping Hove do them a favour by upsetting leaders Betteshanger at Hove Park next Saturday.
Bognor, who face an intriguing home tusssle with third placed Guy's Hospital, felt they did enough to grab a precious away win.
Skipper Karl Flynn said: "It was a cracking game. I thought we were the better side over the 80 minutes but full credit to Eastbourne, they defended well.
"They have still got to come to us so I think we have the advantage now. That performance has done our confidence the world of good."
Eastbourne were below full strength and were happy with the result but promise Bognor a tougher time if they get players back for the re-match in February.
Andy Shipp scored a try, conversion and penalty for Bognor. Nigel Mitchell also went over.
Eastbourne had first half tries from Adrian Norwood and Gavin Partridge. Andy Moore kicked a conversion and a penalty.
Uckfield are off the mark with a 14-12 home win over Hove but they made hard work of it after tries from Darren Clark and Gareth Quay, both goaled by Nick Ridley, sent them into a 14-0 lead.
Michael Walton powered over as Hove dominated the second half and they were unlucky when Richard Phelps had a try ruled out for stepping into touch.
Next Saturday's clash between Horsham and Heathfield should be a cracker after both sides retained their perfect records in Sussex One.
Heathfield's was the more impressive result as they hammered previously unbeaten Chichester 28-0.
Coach Herb Merritt said: "We are playing basic rugby but the players are sticking to the gameplan for the full 80 minutes."
Patience was rewarded as Rob Streeter, Simon Wilson and David Lawrence scored in the final quarter.
Gwyn Jones, a new winger from South Wales, kicked two conversions and three penalties.
Horsham were 49-0 winners at Crowborough with tries from Pete Mason (3), Rob Clegg (2), Richard Billings and Andy Stone.
Skipper Guy Hannell admitted: "We did better than we expected."
Simon Swadling's last gasp drop goal gave UC Chichester their first win as they beat Rye 23-20.
Hellingly are starting to put their game together behind the shrewd tactical boot of New Zealander Malcolm Fitzpatrick.
Andy Harris powered his way over from close range to set up a 15-3 home win over Hastings and Bexhill. Danny Kearney added a penalty and then had a hand in Sam Gower's late try which Richard Whitling converted.
Sussex Police held on for a 31-24 home verdict over St Francis. Rob Blackett scored a try and three conversions and Matthew Sole (2), Steve Hill and Huw Watts also got over as Police enjoyed their first win.
