A woman is campaigning to highlight the dangers of the deadly disease meningitis.
Sarah Jones, of Shepherds Mead, Burgess Hill, lost her boyfriend, Noel Davies, to the illness when he was 20.
That was seven years ago. Since that time, she has worked to raise awareness of meningitis and warn people about the symptoms of the bug, which can kill within hours.
She said: "Noel's death prompted me to try to save anyone else going through what he went through, because it is such a quick disease."
Miss Jones, who works in a shop in Haywards Heath, is now a volunteer for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
Anyone who is concerned or would like further information can contact the foundation on 08088 003344 for a free mini-pack.
