Albion youth will face Wokingham at Windsor and Eton in the FA Youth Cup tonight with six Sussex schoolboys in the squad.
Chris Breech, Matt Piper, Chris May, Ben Watson, Mark Probert and Grant Vanson will hope to see the Seagulls through to the second round where they will face the winners of tomorrow's Crowborough and Newport showdown.
Albion director of youth Martin Hinshelwood said: "We don't get to play much at under-18s because we run under-17 and under-19s sides so this is a good opportunity to get some experience at the level.
"We have done okay with the Sussex boys we have brought through so we will carry on trying to push them through."
Crowborough take on their Welsh visitors, who include two youth internationals, at Alderbrook (7.45pm) in their second season in the competition. They go in with eight wins and a draw from nine matches this term.
They reached the first round proper thanks to three victories at Walton Casuals (4-1), Ashford Town (2-0) and Fisher Athletic (4-1).
Manager Phil Sharman said: "It will be the biggest game to hit the town this season so far and a big crowd under floodlights will be a great boost for the lads. I hope the town comes out and supports a team it should be proud of."
Crowborough warmed up by beating Aylesford PM 4-0 in the John Ullman Cup with goals by Alex Bowsher, Chris Ransome, Tom Nowell and Jack Singer. They also defeated Dartford 4-2 in a league game, Singer (2), Danny Baker and Wayne Clarke on target.
Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College quintet Liam O'Brien, Steve Metcalf, Lee Newman, Grant Bean and Seb Allen, plus Gary Norgate (Chichester), have trialled for the South against the East in a bid to make the English Colleges squad. Tom Djamaluddin (BHASVIC) made the squad, then representing British Colleges, last season.
Eastbourne Technical College have had mixed fortunes in the Sussex Schools Cups.
Their under-13s overcame Littlehampton 7-2 and the under-15s pipped Lancing College 1-0 but they lost 3-0 to Angmering at under-14s.
In the Sussex Schoolsgirls Under-16s Cup, Downlands (Hassocks) overcame Bexhill High 2-1 away with goals by Katie Alford and Lucy Goering with Rebecca Dawes replying for the hosts.
