I take exception to the Voice Of The Argus's opinion that the No campaigners are, among other things, a rabble of "plonkers".
This was childish abuse to which a responsible editor should not have stooped.
The thousands who voted against a directly-elected mayor exercised their democratic right to disagree with The Argus and its ideas for the future of Brighton and Hove - our city.
The Argus is very proud to display on its masthead that it is Campaigning Newspaper of the Year.
Perhaps, after this disgraceful editorial, it should be changed to Bullyragging Newspaper of the Year!
On this issue, The Argus mistook public opinion completely. The editor is obviously out of step with the people he is here to serve.
