Dean Larter and Sharif Haider, both from Southwick-Savages ABC, produced impressive wins as a Sussex team drew 6-6 with their hosts in Guernsey last weekend.
Light-welterweight Larter beat the vastly experienced Stephen Mourant on a unanimous points decision while light-middleweight Haider ko'd Jason Damarell inside 20 seconds of their contest.
There were also wins for Bognor light-welterweight Matthew Green against Adrian Le Fauvre, Southwick-Savages welterweight James Brewster against Wayne Ogier and Crawley middleweight Jay Beattle against Jason Roussel, all on points. Meanwhile, Horsham light-heavyweight Simon Hopkins stopped Tom Duff in the second round.
There were defeats for juniors Luke Hunt and Charlie Scott plus David Keen, Michael Mobsby, Ebrima Secka and Steve Reed.
Hailsham-based Wayne Alexander will defend his British light-middleweight title against Joe Townsley at Kevlin Hall, Glasgow, on November 17. Alexander jointly tops a bill which supports the televised show featuring Lennox Lewis' heavyweight rematch with Hasim Rahman in Las Vegas. Alexander's contest with Townsley had originally been scheduled for November 6 at Bethnal Green.
