What a wonderful, expenses-paid holiday under the guise of promoting Worthing the mayor and two council officers will be treated to on their flower trip to China.

Never mind promoting Worthing nationally, which is more likely to produce more visitors to the town at an altogether much more acceptable budget. Worthing Borough Council seems to love spending taxpayers' money unwisely - for example, its recent expenditure on lap-top computers and awarding itself an enormous financial attendance increase.

Let us see some taxpayers' money spent on improving the appearance and facilities of the seafront. This, in turn, would give visitors something to enjoy and perhaps promote the town by recommendation.
