Newly-married Brighton and Hove city councillor Jenny Langston has changed her name.
She has announced she will now be known as Mrs Jenny Barnard-Langston after her marriage to fellow councillor Mark Barnard on October 20.
Jenny said: "I am pleased to have found happiness with another soul-mate following the death of Steve Langston. Having spent a lifetime with Steve, I wish to retain his name."
Jenny and fellow Goldsmid ward councillor Steve had been married for 32 years when he died from a blood clot in February at the couple's home in Hove.
Mark was one of a group of friends who offered her support.
They became close during Jenny's failed bid to win Hove back for the Conservatives in the General Election in June.
More than 1,000 guests attended their wedding at All Saints Church, Hove, and The Queen sent a message of congratulations.
